2025-08-21 18:25:23 +0000 UTCA few things after watching the uncut reaction: Rob, your Deja vu senses were correct! In 1x7 (finale) Jere and Steven participated in a similar dance at the deb ball. Also, this wasn’t the first aunt Julia mention this season. While Conrad was still at Stanford, he mentioned having lunch with his aunt. (It’s nice that they seem to have patched things up.) So yeah, Julia and Skye skipping the wedding indicates to me that it’s in support of Conrad. I think the show’s captions were off during the mention of Steven’s fanfic because in season 1, Belly reveals it was a Dramione fan fic. I love the repeat use of “When the Party’s Over” + TS’ “False God” this season. When we first hear WTPO at the end of 1x6, Belly also tells Conrad that it’s “too late” and it’s their lowest point before things get better. And “False God,” as we all know, plays in s1 when Belly and Conrad almost kiss, just as it seemed they almost would in 3x6.

Everyone is hating on Belly for what she said to Conrad, but the fact is that she loved him her whole life, and he just let her go without a real explanation, and I believe that hurt her a 100 times more than Jeremy "cheating" in Cabo. I put quotation marks on cheating because I'm one of the people that don't agree that it was cheating, but I of course still believe it was an incredibly shitty thing for him to do. Belly was also not wrong when she told Conrad that him saying what he said days before her wedding is fucked, because in all honesty, it really is such shit timing! 😂 She obviously still loves him, but she's trying so hard to convince herself that she doesn't. At some point she is going to realise that the feeling isn't going away.

I’ll just quickly mention the emotional cheating on belly’s part 🙄 Jeremiah needs a new family and fiancé. Anyways, this post isn’t really about belly. It’s mainly about Jeremiah and Conrad. The confessions scene that happened made Conrad look like such a bad brother. I’ll start off by mentioning season 2. Belly never really thought about Conrad. She was chasing Jeremiah and Jeremiah was ignoring her advances until the whole kiss at the college happened. At the motel, Jeremiah told Conrad to confess his real feelings to belly. He wants both belly and Conrad to be happy, even if that means they choose each other. He even said that he finally accepted it and he won’t run away like last time. He will still be in their lives. On the other hand, Conrad decides to confess his love for belly 2 days before their wedding. I don’t care if it’s because he found out about the whole Cabo thing. He chose to use that moment where belly felt betrayed to be the reason he confesses. He never even told her that he loved her when they were actually together. And I think this shows that he only wants her when he sees her with someone else. Conrad also barely talked to his own brother for 4 years and almost missed his mom’s memorial because of them being together. In the confession scene, Conrad says “I love jere, I do. But seeing you guys together makes me hate him.” That was crazy to me. If he actually loved jere, he wouldn’t be saying this at all. He would’ve wanted jere to be happy, but he doesn’t care about that. It also shows in the dinner scene with Laurel. Conrad says he wants belly to be happy, and Laurel said jere too right? And then Conrad said, yeah jere too. So his own brother was an afterthought. I think season 2 definitely showed more on how much jere truly loves and cares about his brother. I’ve never seen that from Conrad.
