2025-07-17 14:30:56 +0000 UTCI blame a lot of people for Hayley’s death. The biggest blame going to Greta and Roman. Roman is an adult! An old vampire who has lived a long life. I love that the show tries to make him out to be a stupid kid who makes naïve decisions. It’s actually rather insulting to the viewer. I also blame Elijah and Antoinette. Antoinette may not believe what her family believes, but I find her to be complicit, a liar, and kind of a coward. Elijah got involved because of her. Blame does fall on her. If anything she gets blame for falling for her mothers stupid bullshit. She should’ve known better. Elijah did not have his memories, but that was a choice that he made. I’m kind of with Hope for not really wanting to forgive him for that. All actions come with consequences, and Hayley’s death was a consequence of his actions. And last Hope gets some blame. She started it all, but she also gets some grace because out of all the people mention before, Hope is an actual child, a 15-year-old girl who made a mistake because she missed her dad, if anyone deserves forgiveness, it is her.

They were close together, so destruction was continuing to happen, water was turning into blood, and monsoons were coming. Marcel tried to stop her, so she threw him in with the other originals to get him out of her way. He commented about how the city was about to wash away when he appeared.

Deep down, she knows that it was her selfishness that got her mom killed because if she WASN’T selfish, Hayley would’ve never been in the position to be killed in the first place. Elijah is just a convenient outlet for her. My dislike of Hope started with Hayley’s death.
