In case you didn't notice, the actress who plays Eddie's wife in this, was also the actress who played his mom in part one. It's an actual phenomenon where people find themselves attracted to people who have similarities to their parents, hence why Eddie is with someone like his mom, and Bev's with someone like her dad in the beginning. It could also play into the whole 'we accept the love, we think we deserve' thing too.

As far as I remember, this movie didn't hit audiences so well as the first one, but I still thought it was okay. The adults chemistry and casting are great and it was nice seeing a closing end on their storylines! Also, there was a huge fanbase for richie and eddie (guilty...) and people LOVED to link this with stranger things (thank u finn wolfhard).

Yesss I actually love this one, I think the adult casting is so good and Bill Hader especially is such a stand out.
You guys (if you haven't already) should check out the Long Walk movie when it comes on streaming - one of the best adapted Stephen King works and it was just such an INCREDIBLE movie. I had no expectations going in and didn't know the source material at all and it just blew me away with amazing performances.

This is why I keep returning King's books back to my neighbourhood library. Like he will just insert scenes that are so disturbing for no reason.Like is this man okay..Why would you even envision such a scenario. I also don't appreciate how he depicts female characters in his books. Where is this coming from.

as someone who's read the book, you're not missing out. it was a great book until it wasn't. it has one of the most disturbing things i've ever read in my life ever. it made me side eye stephen king SUPER HARD. this is one of those instances that the movies were better than the book.

From what I can remember in the book it states that the human mind can’t comprehend what the true form of IT is so that’s why it can mimic whatever it wants. It prefers to show itself mainly as a clown. Also a clown is more likely to lure children in.
