It isn’t just vampires vs werewolves, it introduces so many other supernatural creatures that i would’ve never known about. Like I didn’t know a Banshee or a Kanima was even a mythical creature until this show! It’s so cool that they include so many different supernaturals in a show that’s mainly about werewolves. I appreciate that so much!

2025-10-19 10:15:16 +0000 UTCSo now that the cat’s out of the bag about Lydia as a banshee, there’s a few things that make more sense in context: Lydia was immune to the Bite because banshees (bean siadhe) in Teen Wolf aren’t supernatural in the sense that the others are… they’re connected to/conduits for it and are immune to it (which is why mountain ash and the like are no problem for her). She’s drawn to death as a harbinger. It’s also why she was able to draw Jackson’s identity back from the kanima… the voice (and scream) of the banshee in Teen Wolf carries power (you’ll see more of this as the seasons progress). It wasn’t just the key that triggered his memories, that was just a part of it.
