Hey all,
Quick update for 0.17, as I'm still working on the artwork remasters.
I mentioned last week that I wanted to evaluate the rate at which this would progress and I have to say that I'm not entirely satisfied thus far ; I've been spending a bit too much time on some illustrations.
Namely, I tend to get carried away and entirely redraw some stuff ; while it can be a good thing, coming up with new poses, working on an entirely new composition is pretty time consuming and is not as efficient as I'd like to be.
I probably will, starting next week, switch to new content production. That way I can wrap it up as swiftly as I can and circle back to the previous artwork remaster and see how much I can fit. I'm still looking at a May release, so I'll have to adapt.
Here's the updated progress chart :
I do need to pick up the pace to fit the deadline, but as long as I keep monitoring the progress and adapt quickly, it should be fine.
As I mentioned, I will swap to new content production and when that's on the way, the whole artwork scope will be a bit clearer to assess.
I don't expect scripting to be too beefy and no major coding workload is expected.
Here's a little artwork teaser in the meantime (a bit of a WIP!):
Thank you dearly for the support, and stay tuned for more posts. A very quick content poll regarding in-game music will come with this weekly, and more to come!
