Quick status update - screentesting animations and a poll

Hey all,

I owe you guys a quick status update to explain what I've been up to last week.

The artwork I storyboarded for this update is pretty much done, but instead of working on the actual release this week, I decided to keep working on animation and see what I could whip up.

Long story short, I've been learning Live2D and feel down a rabbit hole that kept me busy and sidetracked, as I often do... But I've been making progress and I have a couple of demos to show you guys and ask your opinion.

I'm still very much of a beginner with the software but I'm getting the hang of the whole rigging stuff, but it's a bunch of work to get something done. It also requires me to change how I layer my assets (no major redrawing stuff or anything, but still).

The preview I attached to this post was just randomizing all the keyframed animations with some random pendulum seeds, and I do think it's not bad looking so with more attention on the whole sequencing I think there's some interesting stuff to do here.

I've done very minimal work with the hair, just enough to have a hint of motion.

Live2D allow for a very generic, physics-based approach ; though since I'm making pre-rendered animation, I really just have to rig the motions I want to animate, but there's a lot of potential.

In conclusion, I'm still wondering if I should keep working with this to integrate animations on the update, or if I should release the scene first with still images, and integrate animations on a next update. I'll follow this post with a poll to see what you guys think.
