Great Villain: Starting by Humiliating the Son of the Heavenly Fate Chapter 374: Ying Luo's Power Surge, Devouring Spatial Artifacts

Possessing the bloodline of the Death Calamity True Dragon and being versed in both the Azure Hollow Spirit Taming Art and the Heart Mirror Imprint Art, Jiang Chen shared an incredibly close bond with Ying Luo.

They could communicate freely, so long as they weren't separated by great distances or obstructed by formidable barriers.

'She's already gathered a large number of demons? That was quick. Or perhaps, is the girl simply too greedy and impatient?' Jiang Chen thought, his fingers stroking his chin, as he promptly flew toward where Ying Luo was located.

...

Simultaneously, in the Myriad Demons Continent, news that Yu Qi had once again collapsed the spatial channel—resulting in the loss of a million-strong army—sent shockwaves through the demon world's upper echelons.

That the mere Immortal Martial Continent, a desolate land abandoned by the Profound Jade Immortal Domain for a million years, could inexplicably obliterate two successive million-strong demon armies via spatial channels before any intervention from the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star forces was beyond comprehension.

Yet, an even more astonishing event transpired.

In the demon army that had successfully penetrated the Immortal Martial Continent, the Life Tablets belonging to all the demon powerhouses deemed worthy of having one shattered in unison!

The breaking of a Life Tablet indicated the demise of its owner!

Subsequently, Bo Luncang's Life Tablet also shattered, signaling that he too had died!

While the death of a demon at the Nirvana Peering realm was not an exceedingly rare occurrence in the grand conflict between demons and humans, Bo Luncang's fall on the desolate Immortal Martial Continent—a land so barren that even birds wouldn't defecate—was a true shock.

This led the demon higher-ups to ponder: could it be that the Profound Jade Immortal Domain had transformed the Immortal Martial Continent into a colossal trap, specifically designed to ensnare them?

With this unsettling thought in mind, the general consensus among the demons became clear: launching further attacks on the Immortal Martial Continent would be ill-advised.

While the Demon Lord was somewhat captivated by the true dragon sighted in the Immortal Martial Continent, the steep cost of initiating an ultra-long-distance spatial channel, coupled with the strong suspicion that it might be a trap, led him to ultimately halt sending troops to that location.

However, the Demon Lord wasn't ready to abandon the quest entirely. He resorted to using spies he had embedded within the Profound Jade Immortal Domain to collect more information.

A true dragon was a being with a high likelihood of ascending to the Void Tribulation realm— a realm the Demon Lord himself had only reached.

The advantages of acquiring such a true dragon were self-evident.

...

Meanwhile, in the Immortal Martial Continent, Jiang Chen was remarkably swift in his movements.

In no time, he arrived at the location where Ying Luo was situated.

A quick sweep of his divine sense revealed that an army of demons, numbering over four hundred thousand, had already amassed in the area.

Under the weight of Ying Luo's dragon might, the immense demon army quivered uncontrollably, plummeting into abject despair.

"What's happening?" Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow as he inquired, "Did you find out they had already gathered here?"

"Mm-hmm! Big brother, this contributes to my merit as well, doesn't it?" Ying Luo coiled herself around Jiang Chen's palm, nodding enthusiastically before posing her earnest question.

"Absolutely, it counts!" Jiang Chen responded, his lips curling into a subtle smile. Then, with a mere wave of his hand, he unleashed the power of space, instantly wiping out the entire demon army of over four hundred thousand.

Simultaneously, the effects of the Wordless Heavenly Jade and the Death Calamity Dark Star Moon Dao Embryo activated. Jiang Chen absorbed all of the qi and blood, along with a part of the pure cultivation base, integrating them into his own body.

"My turn, my turn! Big brother, I'm so hungry!" Ying Luo's eyes were on Jiang Chen as he absorbed the qi and blood, her mouth practically watering.

"Fine, fine. I'll make sure you eat your fill," Jiang Chen said, smiling as he shook his head and extended a finger toward her. "Go on, open up!"

"Ao!" Ying Luo eagerly took Jiang Chen's extended finger into her mouth.

The very next moment, at a mere thought from Jiang Chen, a surge of qi and blood energy rushed into Ying Luo's mouth, akin to a deluge of immortal dew.

"Mmm, mmm, so much, so much!" Ying Luo's eyes glittered as she absorbed every last iota of the qi and blood energy.

As she took in the substantial amount of qi and blood energy, Ying Luo's cultivation base started to soar at an incredible pace.

By the time all the remaining qi and blood energy had been fed to her by Jiang Chen, Ying Luo had reached the Peak-stage Transcendence realm, merely a step away from entering the Nirvana Peering realm. As for her combat prowess, it had escalated to that of an Early-stage Nirvana Peering realm warrior.

"Excellent!" Jiang Chen couldn't have been happier with the result and wore a jubilant smile.

Ying Luo was even more elated. She wrapped herself around Jiang Chen's palm, affectionately repeating the term 'big brother' in a coquettish tone.

"There should still be around two or three hundred thousand demons left in the army. Ying Luo, it's your turn now. Just go ahead and kill them all; no need to spare anyone," Jiang Chen instructed, his eyes reflecting a depth of contemplation. "And make sure to bring back the corpses."

"Okay," Ying Luo nodded her assent. "So, what's big brother planning to do next?"

"I intend to devour the Immortal Martial Cave Heaven," Jiang Chen revealed, smiling as he spoke. With a casual wave of his hand, he opened the main gateway to the Immortal Martial Cave Heaven.

Whoosh.

A spatial vortex materialized.

Ying Luo's eyes were fixed on the slowly revolving spatial vortex, and she could feel the faint fluctuations of space emanating from it. Her eyes sparkled anew.

"What's going on?" Jiang Chen picked up on Ying Luo's unusual demeanor and inquired.

"Big brother, I've always thought this looks rather tasty!" Ying Luo gestured toward the spatial vortex with her diminutive dragon claw, whispering her thoughts.

"Eat a spatial vortex?" Jiang Chen's mouth twitched upward in amusement. "Do you think this is some sort of delicacy?"

"I'm a Void White Dragon," Ying Luo responded, pouting a little. "Spatial energy is edible for me, but if I consume too much, I'll end up with indigestion, and that could be fatal."

"Ah, I see. Would you like to try some of these spatial artifacts then?" Jiang Chen's face lit up with understanding as he produced a vast collection of spatial artifacts—spoils from his recent destruction of the demon army numbering over four hundred thousand.

These artifacts were of a lower grade and held only mild, gentle spatial energies, making them an appropriate snack for Ying Luo.

"Want, want, want!" Ying Luo energetically nodded, even making a savoring noise.

"Very well, they're all yours," Jiang Chen said, his face breaking into a gentle smile as he laid out all the low-grade spatial artifacts he had recently acquired.

Piled together, the over four hundred thousand spatial artifacts resembled a small mountain.

"Wow, look at all this yummy stuff!" Ying Luo's eyes sparkled with delight. She soared to the top of the small mountain of artifacts and, in an instant, transformed into a massive dragon. She then swallowed the entire pile in one gulp.

Crunch, crunch.

The crisp sounds of chewing resonated from Ying Luo's mouth, as though she were enjoying a crunchy treat.

"Ah, that was so satisfying." Wearing an expression of pure contentment, Ying Luo even took a moment to lick the corners of her mouth, having finished off all the spatial artifacts.

"Hundreds of thousands of demons are still out there, waiting for you to eliminate them," Jiang Chen said, a serious tone in his voice. "They each carry spatial artifacts. Go on."

"Alright! Consider it done by Ying Luo!" Eager and enthusiastic, Ying Luo nodded before shooting off like a bullet.

"That girl is quite the glutton," Jiang Chen mused with a chuckle. "But it's understandable. She's at a stage where she desperately needs all kinds of energies to grow, so it's only natural she enjoys eating."
