So, if you would like a shirt, you can now purchase them directly from the print shop. Theyre the same quality prints and blanks, same people making the shirts as before (etc), they just need to be purchased off the print shops system, which can be found at http://cumtown.merchnow.com
A thing to note (and im trying to have it resolved) is that the print shop is charging almost double what I was charging for shipping. The change is pretty drastic if you're an international customer. I don't know why they're charging so much more. I'll update this when I get an answer.
Some things that are improved now: the shirts won't "sell out." They have a decent amount on hand from my last bulk order in November, but the store can take orders even after they sell out and they'll print the shirts and ship them as the orders come in. They're also able to offer the much larger sizes (or smaller sizes) that I didn't have before.
The information below isn't important if you just want a shirt, but if you wanna know whats up or why this took so long, here's a bit of an explanation:
For the time being, cum.town is still inactive. There's been a bunch of bullshit happening on the backend, but what it boils down to is that the payment processors that handled sales when I was doing it myself (Initially shopify payments, who use Stripe as a gateway, and now Paypal) don't want to work with me or sell certain shirts. Shopify cited potential trademark issues and wouldn't process payments anymore and locked up all the money from the last round of shirts that I did back in October. They wanted me to delete (and not sell again) the weedpranos, weeddonalds, gere museum, and doctors without boners shirts.
The way things were supposed to work with the print shop was that I would just sign everything over to them and they would sort it out. They haven't been able to resolve anything since October and they refuse to work with the third party payment processor that I brought to them. Theyre insisting on using paypal, but theyre now in some indefinite process of negotiating "rates" with paypal.
I don't know a lot about payment processors, but from talking to people and having done a bit of business with them in the past, they make decisions about people or entities and choose not to work with them and keep their motivations kind of dark. They'll just shut your shit down and look for any kind of way in which you've violated ToS in the hopes that you'll just walk away.
Ive tried to bite my tongue and not just pass the buck on this but it's incredibly frustrating. I don't want to fuck anyone over and I just liked doing the shirts because it gave me something to do and the whole process of designing them and seeing them come in and being happy with the product was fun. The volume got overwhelming and I thought it would be dumb to continuing turning away a huge volume of sales when I was selling out 600+ shirts in a matter of hours. I thought it would be stupid not to just let the print shop handle everything. This whole process has been a nightmare and I'm truly sorry for the delays and now this issue with the shipping prices.
I wanna thank everyone for their patience and I apologize if you were trying to get one of these before the holidays. Hopefully sooner rather than later I can get the shipping issue fixed and get everything back up on the original store and offer new designs.
