Some of you might have already seen this on my socials, but here is the only place I will share the actual piece with you.
I debated a long time about showing my face as an avatar or not - to an outsider, this question might seem irrelevant, but to me it is a difficult one, as it makes me rethink how I tie my identity to my art. I recently had a discussion with my friend who was of the opinion to always show the face for personal branding reasons, but I just feel like posting a selfie doesn't give any value to you at all.
With this self-portrait, I found a way to make a compromise, especially since it heavily leans into the fantasyworlds that we all love instead of just standing there with some earphones like I usually do. You could probably guess that I had the most fun with the gemstone ;D
