Here it is! I stopped at one point and had to look up how these stone formations that I always loved - they're called "Dolmen". I just had to change the sketch then, and dabbled around a bit with the offerings that were supposed to hang on the tree, which I eventually substituted with the standing stone on the left.
I feel like I learned a lot about values and colour relations with this piece, and as much as the scene bored me at first, I now see the beauty in it.
This tree has been standing near a village for centuries. It is a place where the locals pray to a forest god, as most people living on the countryside of Argenta have not forgotten how much the forests give them. Some say the tree itself is the god, for the wind in its leafs sometimes seems to murmur in the old tongue.
