New Artwork 'First day of summer'

On the first day of Summer, the morning sun will stand exactly right to hit the mapstone - and you'll want to be there when that happens. These remnants of an ancient culture can be found all over Argenta, sometimes people even use them as a place to live - yet few of them understand or ask themselves what they see in their everyday lifes.
Anyways, I feel like I learned a lot about the sky and lighting with this one, and feel like I am gradually losing my fear of drawing actual far and wide landscapes that I had when doing lineart. It's strange, that background scenery somehow was way more challenging than the foreground. Trying to deliver a sense of room and colour range is hard with so little pixels at my disposal. It makes up for an amazing challenge though - so you'll soon see me trying to explore more landscapes.
My week started slow and then took up pace - I hope you're doing well!
