Hi everyone!
As the exploration of the colour notes in my last piece with the chalk coast really sparked a flame in me, I thought to make the next piece inherently pretty "grey", only to then have the chance to play with all the colour variations that such cliffs and rocks have.
It is also quite the daring composition - I don't think I've ever attempted something with such a clear leaning towards a side of the canvas, but I really want to communicate that vastness.
Really looking forward to paint for myself again, all I did was mainly commissions for the last week. I will raise my prices and learn to say "no" to more requests, so that I have more time to paint for myself. That way I'll improve the most and can focus more on what I actually feel the need to paint.
Anyways, I hope you're having a great week, talk to you soon!
Simon
