New Artwork "Stones of Efferd"

The Stones of Efferd are widely known for their beauty and treasured stones used for jewelry as well as woven into clothes.

They are sometimes found by the riverpeople, and are said to be gifts from Efferd, god of the rivers. Some believe they are the tears of his daughter Eelya, who has lost her loved one to the sea.

Hi everyone, Simon here. Really happy with how this one turned out, it seemed so bland when just looking the sketch, but I saw that it has potential. I feel like I've learned a lot about color and texture with this one, and will continue to chase those colors that just "feel right" when you look at them. It took a lot of faith and vision to stay motivated in the process when there was no light so far - but it was worth it.

As I have stopped taking on commissions, I started feeling free with my creativity again, which is a beautiful feeling. I guess the lesson here was to never sacrifice your passion in exchange for money, unless they actually are compatible.
