New Artwork "Coming Home of the Gem Cutter"

As the sun began to set behind the jagged peaks of the mountains, Aela arrived at her hometown nestled deep in the heart of the range. She had been away for three years, honing her craft as a gem cutter in the bustling cities of the lowlands.

Aela, inspite of the opportunities in the city, had always known that she would return to her hometown someday she knew she would be able to offer her expertise to the village and continue the tradition of gem cutting that had been a part of it for generations.

For Aela, returning to her hometown was not just a homecoming, but a chance to continue a legacy that had been passed down through generations. As she looked out at the rugged beauty of the mountains and at the lake, sparkling as ever, she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be.

Hi everyone, Simon here. A new piece is here for you, I hope you enjoy those blue tones just as much as I do!

I am not so sure if I'll include more characters into my pieces, but I definitely like it in this one, although that is probably mostly because I planned out the composition for her standing there, with the background becoming lighter around her and her placement in general. So that is why she could not just disappear from the painting, even though I dabbled with the thought for the whole process of painting.

I'll just see where it leads me and not overthink it. I have found that most times, that overthinking before really doing at least some repetitions makes no sense at all and turns out to have been completely detached from reality once I actually start - so I'll just try it and see how it feels, then I can start thinking about it some more.
