New Artwork "Old Forest"
Added 2023-04-10 11:58:58 +0000 UTCHi all! Painting things that are more mystical of sorts feels right. On the danger of the scene being too "sugary" - it was fun nevertheless.
Over the years, there have been many artists who got accused of only painting "eye-candy". I personally never understood where this notion of "art should make this exact moral statement" or it "should be realistic its scenes" (not talking about the style).
All art is illusion. The artist chooses what they want to create, there are no moral chains on what is/isn't true art. If the goal is to paint certain moods or feelings, there is no imperative to make that feeling really complex.
On a lighter note, hopefully you enjoy the imagination of walking through the forest and stumbling over this scene, however short that feeling might be.
