New Sketch

The last piece was meant to be simple, now the goal of this one will be to convey size. There will be small houses and fields in that opening, and the small house in the foreground is what will set the comparison so the viewer can "feel" how large the scene before them is - especially when it comes to the background.
I'm currently thinking about making the foreground stay in shadow as well - the great thing about foregrounds in fantasy pieces like this one is that you can always have your shadows be just the way you like them to be. There is always an excuse to think of a huge cliff or tree or something similar outside of the canvas throwing its shade onto the foreground. Now that I think about it while typing, I think I'll actually do that ^^
