Hi everyone! It's been some time since the last painting as I had a lot of work to do at Akris (the company that I work for in my dayjob). So I'm particularly glad to continue with our Wizard's Travels around the Islands of Argenta.
The grass in the foreground was a lot of fun, and taught the important lesson that some white blades of grass somehow improve the look and feel to it a lot. Not gonna lie, it needs a bit of courage to punch some other colors than green and blue in there. But once you do, you discover that there is a lot to see in it, and grass usually is never only green, but has hundreds of colors.
As for the clouds, as you can see they came in at the end of the process again. Before that, I was trying around with all sorts of realistic looking clouds, but it somehow feels more "homely" and like the world is alright with the comic look.
Anyways, I'm going to hop to gaming a bit now - see you soon with a new sketch!
Have a great end of the work week!
Best,
Simon
