New Sketch
Added 2023-07-31 22:05:50 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Here is the sketch for the next piece of the travels of the wizard - one of the many coast of the islands.
Compositionally, as most times I watched out to have the main point of interest in light and within the range of the "two thirds". For those of you who don't know this one, it is basically a compositional "rule" to divide your canvas in thirds, and in the area of one of the 4 intersection there should be found your main point of interest, the most important thing in the artwork, the "eye-catcher"(second picture attached). In our case here of course, it is the wizard.
I say "rule" though in quotation marks as it is not so much a rule, but rather a guidance. As with anything that has to do with composition, it is more of a good start than a hard rule. The last piece of the wizard did not obey the rule and worked just fine - but for rookies this can be a lifesaver.
