New Artwork "Coastal Village"

Finally back and finished up this piece, I should have a bit more time on my hands now and the amount of it should be growing steadily now. The salon is almost done, only a few more tweaks and everything will be great for a start.
It is interesting that the more turbulent my every day life gets, the calmer and more whimsical my artworks become.
It has been some time since y last U-shaped composition, they are definitely a powerful tool to direct the viewers gaze. The colors were a lot of fun as well, and just imagining how life would look living behind this little forest down the slope.
There are WAY too many ideas for the next piece, since even though I was busy and could draw much, the ideas were still flowing, and got noted down. They will be a lot of fun to explore with some rough sketches. Sometimes I think it could be the best option to draw something REALLY simple in it's subject, for example just a simple oak tree with a gravestone beneath it, and that's it. Choosing subjects that are so simple and not too interesting by themselves makes you think of different ways to make the interesting, like lighting or colors. It is also a great exercise to just nail the basics, focus on the right colors and just to not overcomplicate everything. So I'll try to become less complex with my drawings, which has worked somewhat well in the past. It also makes me a lot faster to not draw trees in a detailed way that are 50 meters away anyways.
