Bosanimal Drama 1

Today we introduce a new project! This one was announced a while back, so it is not a surprise.

We are going to translate the Bosanimal Live Action TV drama or "Bosanimal Drama" for shorts. This was broadcasted on japanese Amazon Video in 2023, and it follows up on Sakura's life after the events at the ending of the youtube short Bosanimal series.

This is a very unique project, as it is our first dwelling into "real people" media. The vocabulary and even the understanding of the human voices is way more difficult than any cartoon we have worked on, translating the episode has been quite challenging and slow.

As a silver lining, the amount of potential "effects" is much lower than the cartoon version, for this episode we had to work on a few but nothing compared to the original Bosanimal cartoon.

However, it is worth mentioning the opening for this series. We finished translating and QCing the episode a week ago, but it took that whole week to work on the effects for the opening. Almost 300 lines, manually produced, each one of them. That was an immense work but we think the end results are worth it! For patrons, the subtitle file for the opening itself will be attached to this message along with the episode's subtitle file.

Now, about the series itself. Bosanimal Drama is way more serious and "adult" in topics than the anime. Naturally there is no over-the-top topics, but we have already watched the whole series "raw" and we can confirm that things do get... dramatic.

It is, however, very recomendable. The length of each episode is roughly 22 minutes and there are 8 of them, so it is not a very long series.

This wil be a new addition to our roster of open projects, but sadly we don't expect to release more episodes until next year, sorry for the wait! But there are other projects that take priority and, as usual, the Christmas season is upon us and things are going to get busy.

Lastly, we want to mention this, but you probably already noticed. Since Onedrive decided to erase the thumbnails on their links, we will start making announcements with screenshots instead of just sending a link. We are still experimenting on what the best option for this is, so bear with us!
