2020-10-19 21:27:37 +0000 UTCYes excellent read! I don't know how I forgot about that. Post-Order 66 Ahsoka is so fascinating. There are some small parts of it that flashback to the Siege of Mandalore, and since the novel came our before season 7, there are some contradictions, but none that disrupt the flow or meaning of the book as a whole.

He was promoted to Admiral after the Citadel arc and was made a Grand Moff when the Clone Wars ended; essentially, he is the military governor of the entire Outer Rim Territories. This, and his close relation with Palpatine, makes him one of the most powerful men in the Empire, probably third to Palpatine and Vader. Tarkin doesn't take orders from Vader unless Palpatine sends both of them on the same assignment and establishes a chain of command. The two are pretty much equal. In fact, aboard the Death Star in A New Hope Vader is choking another Admiral and Tarkin orders Vader to stop, which Vader complies with.

2020-10-19 00:12:50 +0000 UTCSeason 2 is definitely an imrovement over season 1 and has a spectacular ending, but seasons 3 and 4 are the best of Rebels. I know you both are going to love continuing the journey. Also I mentioned before, but it looks like Mandalorian season 2 is going to have heavy Rebels spoilers so proceed with that at your own peril.

2020-10-19 00:10:33 +0000 UTCLoved it! The parallel introductions of Vader and Ahsoka to the show was so well done. Now there are on a collision course that cannot be avoided. The funny thing is, in Clone Wars season 7, when Ahsoka contacts Anakin and Obi-Wan to try to get them to help her capture Maul, she contacts them on the Fulcrum frequency. Of course, this was placed in there purposely as a nod to Rebels. Fulcrum is an old Clone Wars military channel that Saw Gerrera also used.
