2020-11-19 07:50:46 +0000 UTCSo the female Inquisitor addressed the Inquisitor from season 1 as the Grand Inquisitor. So the Grand Inquisitor was the head of the Inquisitorious, and thus was in charge of all of the other Inquisitors, and reported to Vader himself. He as a cool backstory and every in the comics, a little bit of which will be revealed later in the show. Also, being users of the dark side, of course the Inquisitors will all be rivals of one another and trying to gain the most favor with Vader and Palpatine. This is the way of the dark side. And of course, the Inquisitors are mostly used for the lesser-skilled Jedi. When there is an actual threat, they bring in Vader.

It was supposed to be a story arc in Clone Wars, but it was in production when Disney canceled the show so it never aired. It was made into a book instead and is completely canon. It's not on that link I sent you, so you'll probably have to purchase an audiobook of it. Its a great read and it tells you what happened to Ventress, so whenever you have the time you should get it!
