Also Thrawn doesn't have a temper, he rarely looses his composure and focus. He is one of the most calm characters in Star Wares. However, he does realize that some people only respond to anger, so he only acted angry towards that Captain who kept mouthing off because he knew it would shut him up.

2021-01-19 15:23:04 +0000 UTCSee that's the great thing about Thrawn, he studies enemy cultures, particularly art, to understand them. Thrawn knew that the Kalikori was only important to the people in the family that made it, so when Hera stole it he knew who she was. So once the item was stolen, he recognized who it was. Most Imperials, who are racist and ignorant humans, would have been unable to do that, as they don't care about the cultures of others.
