Chapter 167: Rebuilding

The palace of House Peverell was a hive of activity, there dwarves busy at work as they logged trees between each other and others were busy hammering in nails while master stonewhisperes were supervising everything. And they weren't all among all the magical creatures at the crumbled ruin of the Peverell palace; there were gnomes tinkering with appliances, goblins making some enchantments, fairies busy leaving blessings, and so many more creatures.

Harry was able to find the wards of the palace a long time ago so the palace was also busy slowly recovering itself brick by brick and setting everything back in order. All in all the palace was like an ant hill erupting with activities as shouts were going up, and drinks were being shared.

Harry wasn't a xenophobe like so many of his brethren and equals who looked down at other magical beings like they were either scums of the earth only to be stepped on like the insects they were, or just commodities to be captured and sold off to grease the wheels of wizarding society or at the very least right underneath wizardkind, serving them and catering to all their needs.

However if there was something that Harry could credit to growing up as a muggle was that he saw all beings whether muggle, wizard/witch, or magical beings and magical creatures as equal. The muggle world could be praised for a lot of things, but most highest of all was the liberty and equality that so many valued.

Anyways as much as he valued equality and fairness, he didn't hire all these magical beings to work on his new palace just for the heck of it or to be more inclusive and all. Thanking up such altruistic and moral high ground isn't fit for a lord, he or she would always have to be looking out for his family and their interest.

The simple reason why Harry chose magical beings to work on his new palace instead of hiring some wizards like everyone does is because magical beings are more inclined to certain branches of magic. Dwarves are good with blacksmithing and runecraft, plus Fire, Metal, and Earth magic as well. Goblins are good with Enchantments, Arithmancy, and Rituals and so forth.

Each race has something they could lean on while wizarding kind on the other hand are more of jack of all trades. Which you must not look down on as it is our strength. Thanks to having no particular affinity to anything, wizards and witches can master anything and can branch out wide and far, mastering everything over time. Furthermore, as we have learned we can put something inside that empty void, that is basically where wizarding families came from.

The busy magical beings weren’t the only sights to take in. Down below in the lake were beautiful mermaids swimming about and laughing freely in the water. Harry was kind enough to invite them inside the perimeter of his palace as it would seem that the lake spilled down river below where the clique of mermaids called home.

Already the mermaids were calling to some well known nymphs circles they knew, undine groups, and water spirits.

Long ago this Palace was a marvelous wonderland of beautiful sights and marvelous admiration as pretty magical beings swam freely in the lake and Alicorns raced across the sky.

Already his actions were paying dividends as the mermaids promised to fight on his behalf if anyone invaded and they were scouring the lake down below and brought him plenty of treasures. And they were starting to build underwater gardens to grow precious herbs and plants which they would be paying him some of as rent.

During the past few days, Harry wasn’t just staring contentedly at the construction going on, far from it he made himself busy by going through the Peverell family grimoire.

A grimoire was the centerpiece of a noble wizarding family’s power and it could tell you much about that aforementioned family. In his family library, there was mention of the Peverell family, but it was only when he perused through the grimoire did he actually learn the truth of this family.

The Peverell main magic was Celestial magic, or the magic of the heavens with a minor affinity to enchantments as well. Harry already had battle magic which was perfect for one on one fights since you can overpower your foe with pure might, and he had black magic or curses as he could weaken and slow his opponents and wilting them down.

But now a new avenue opened to him, one that he was lacking by a lot, massive area effect magics. That was what celestial magic was all about, sending down overpower spells of mass destruction causing vast devastation. Like spells like Star fall, Black Hole, Nebula clouds, Meteor shower, SuperNova, and so forth.

Of course, Harry quickly devoured it, this sort of magic was just perfect for his vast magical reserves. He may not still have the skill or knowledge that Dumbledore and Voldermort accumulated for decades if not centuries, but he sure as hell did have the stores of magic to all but nearly match them.

Thanks to Dumbledore and Voldermort's fight at the Riddle Manor when they unveiled nearly all their might, Harry was able to gauge their power. There was only a 10x or 20x power difference between them which would seem a lot but when you say the difference between them and say Master like Professor McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick which was more like a 100 fold or common everyday wizards which equated to a 1,000 fold.

That measly two digits difference between him and those two didn’t seem that big.

Still though Harry knew he had a long way to go, there was plenty more magic and theory to master and much more knowledge he needed to accumulate if he ever wanted to stand a chance against those two Sorcerer level wizards.

Besides the palace, Harry was also working on other stuff to rebuild this House. Already he was renaming the Nott fortress into the Peverell fortress, but to be honest it was just an extension of his family since he was using that fort to expand his family army.

Already the order was in for the Commander to double the Griffin legion and to choose some Griffin-kin beasts to start new Cohorts with. He could have used the Alicorns and the Unicorns, and Thestral but there were no tamers left in this family and he would have to hire new Magizoologists to start breaking into these creatures.

You really couldn’t expect a Lord to start training all these creatures for war, that was a tamers job. Harry had hundreds of Griffin tamers on retainer that helped train and take care of all Griffin-kin that the Legion used.

He was also rebuilding the Nott Tower into the Peverell tower, maybe he acted a bit hastily in blowing it up, but it was what brought out the Nott family from their shell and made them foolishly attack his family fortress which made this war a short affair.

Surveying everything going on, Harry was interpreted with a popping sound that echoed in the clearing he stood on high over on the rocky edges surrounding the palace.

Turning around, Harry saw that it was Sirius who was walking up to him, Harry already keyed him to the wards to let him come and go as he pleased, and he did send a message ahead that he would be coming once he wrapped up everything.

“Hey, pup,” the suave, hunky older man called out with a wave.

“Hey Sirius,” Harry grinned back as the Black family head came to stand right next to him.

“I see you got everything in hand and it's coming along well,” the older man muttered as he took in all the construction going on in the palace.

“Yep, I am being promised that all work on it will be complete in a couple of weeks,” Harry stated.

“Good, I guess I will need to bring some housewarming gifts,” Sirius patted him on the back. Then his eyes spotted the mermaids swimming in the lake, he whistled out loud and uttered, “You know I don’t really mind staying here and making sure everything is in order when you go back to school.”

“You old letch,” Harry broke into laughing out loud, “what would Amelia say?”

“Hey, we haven’t gone down the aisle yet, so I am still a free man. Anyways, our marriage would be an open one, there is no way I could be satisfied with just one woman for the rest of my life!”

Shaking his wryly, Harry asked, “So how did the war effort with the Malfoy family go?”

Chuckling softly, Harry could already tell from the older wizard’s broad grin that it went very well. “Well let’s just say that the Malfoy family isn’t the same family it once was, and it can’t push around its weight anymore.

Of course, I won a great victory with the Black Host, they are already calling it the battle of the Wingless Serpents as we dewinged so many Flying Serpents that day in that sudden ambush and the battle that followed as the Malfoy army was routed. And I was able to capture Lucius Malfoy right off the bat in that battle, he had to cough up so many confessions, I think he would have rather preferred death.”

“So what’re the trophies you won?” Harry inquired.

“Quite a few magical items of great value, plenty of Galleons, some rare french antiques, a barony, two villas, a knight’s keep, some farms, and an old ancestral home and who won’t believe whose.”

“Whose?” Harry asked as his curiosity was piqued. He knew that Sirius wasn’t the type of man to get excited over these sorts of stuff, so for something to catch his attention it would have to be very interesting.

“The Wasley family's old ancestral home!” Sirius stated.

Harry paused, he knew that the Weasley family was a fallen family, one that had long lost its power and wealth a long ago. They still did of course retain their titles as a Baron House and a pureblooded family since of course, they weren’t extinct.

“No way,” Harry shook his head. Now that he recalled a bit back, he could have sworn he remembered Ron once speaking about losing their old ancestral home to the Malfoy family a few generations back.

“Yep,” Sirius nodded his head.

“What do you plan to do with it?” Harry asked, staring up at the older wizard.

Patting him on the back, Sirius grinned at him, “As heir to the Black family, I shall be passing down the will of the Weasley family Manor to you to resolve this issue.”

Staring at him for a long while, Harry at long last just turned around while shaking his head.

“Anyways, I could use all this gold now to rebuild my old family ancestral home. Finally, at long last, I could leave that crummy old house behind, and I can make this new ancestral home into my very own image.”

Already Harry could imagine what that entailed, a funhouse with plenty of hot babes scantily dressed walking around, and parties going on all day and night. A degenerate wet dream!

Harry long ago offered shares of Mirror Inc. to Sirius to rebuild his family's old ancestral home into his dream house, but he denied him that. He instead did the responsible thing and used the money he had to fix his family army, and bring his house back to power.

Harry really did love his godfather/ new adoptive father, but he was really hard headed at times. He clearly saw the taking of anything that was his as stealing, and would rather give him all he could without letting him return the favor.

It could be frustrating at times, but his heart warmed. If it was the Dursley or god forbid Dumbledore they would have taken everything and not even left him bones to chew on.

“Anyways do you know what time of day it is?” Sirius raised his eyebrow at him.

“Yep,” Harry answered with a loud sight, “it is that time of the month when the Wizengamot gather.”

The Wizengamot acted as both the Legislative and Judicial branch of government for Magical Great Britain while the Ministry with the Minister of Magic at the top acting as the Executive branch of government.

Every month except for when the wizarding was on session, the Wizengamot gathered. Laws were made, judgment was passed, and conversations were opened up.

Only those from families with great power and history that rouse to nobility could have a seat at the table.

Harry would rather be doing something else to be honest, but when duty called you answered.

“Alright let’s be on our way,” Harry said while he waved to the goblins and left them in charge since they were the ones that brought all these folk in the first place.

“Wait what is Gorkit even doing here, isn’t he supposed to be my account manager?” Sirius asked as they apparate away.

“Well, my business and affairs are always more interesting than your boring everyday stuff. Who can blame the old cranky goblin, plenty of excitement in his life now and of course more gold to be earned.”

“Anyways,” Harry said as they popped right outside the Ministry of Magic and headed in going right for the fireplace which was burning hot with green flames. “Do you have any idea where the three Dukal ancestral homes would be? The goblins have nothing, so it looks like I will have to basically start from scratch and I wonder if it is worth it? Maybe I should just carry around these titles like memento!”

“Mhmm, don’t do that, no matter what we will need not only to find these families wealth, ancestral home, and grimoire. But it is paramount you rebuild them to their past glory to face the upcoming tide. At any rate, you will first need to find them right?!”

“Yea, where should I look?”

“Well maybe try the Forbidden Forest,” Sirius said after a long pause. “That place is much vaster than you can imagine, it is a very old place that holds many secrets and houses many creatures. Lots of magic is seeped into that place, and there is a reason why it is the most sacred forest in all of Europe.”

“Huh,” Harry uttered as he rubbed at his chin, the  Forbidden Forest was a blank mystery which no one every found out all the secrets it contained. Maybe that was where he could find more about the Heads of families that founded the school.

Entering into the Wizengamot chamber, both Harry and Sirius paused where they stood. The place was a wild mess, shouts were being exchanged, parchements were raining down from the sky, and he could have sworn that some were just about to start firing spells at each other.

“What the hell was going on?” Harry asked no one in particular. This was a far cry from the orderly gathering he had seen from before.

Thanks for the chapter on a good story

Looks like Harry can finally rebuild the Ancient and Most Noble House of Peverell to what it once was before. With the ancestral home of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Weasley reclaimed, will Harry pass it on to be returned to the Weasleys? With so many Ancient and Most Noble Houses being rebuilt and gaining new armies, Harry may be able to muster as many as at least ten to thirty thousand wizards and witches! :3
