Search & Rescue episode 2
Added 2025-06-25 01:45:12 +0000 UTCSo Season 12 Episode 5 is the second episode of the Search & Rescue subseries. Obviously, don't read on if you don't want spoilers, but here on Patreon is where I'm going to put my thoughts on things that haven't aired yet.
While it felt a little more focused and less annoying than the first episode, Search & Rescue still doesn't know what to be. There was more searching this time, but it doesn't really justify a whole new subseries. Basically, everyone is having a picnic in the mountains and their food goes missing. So they have to ... search. But yes, that could of course happen in any regular episode. And it will be no surprise to anyone who was doing the swiping.
On the plus side, though, until all the stupid shenanigans with Humdinger and the Humsquatches (which are just an annoying concept at this stage) it's a pretty nice grounded episode with the pups getting to show some character and interact with one another. Skye and Zuma's little scene is probably my favorite moment of the season thus far.
"Your mission is to bring some granola bars" was kinda unintentionally hilarious too.
Not a great episode but not terrible either, and that's above average for this season
