I distinctly remember turning to look at my boyfriend at the time and saying, with eyes bugging out, How tf did they just kill the main character??!??!! They probably skipped the battle scenes due to budget constraints. Remember this is only the 1st season, they had no way to know how well the show would do. And yes, the budget gets bigger further seasons in. Welcome to your first taste of Winter. You will find other characters to love on this journey. I have one in mind in particular that I think will become a favorite of yours, but time will tell.
