Ok so first off, Welcome to Westeros, the island nation where most of the story takes place. There are 7 kingdoms that make up Westeros. Each kingdom is ruled by a Lord Paramount, with lesser lords reporting to them. Everyone is under the rule of the King, who is Robert Baratheon. Daenerys and Viserys are in Essos, a vast continent to the east of Westeros. The title sequence, where you see like a steam punk kinda representation of the map, will change accordingly to what places we will see in the episode. So you might want to check that out. You’ll find out more about why the Night’s Watch have all these rules, especially about desertion. And I’ve never seen someone start the show and say the Starks ain’t shit lmfao
