The guy at the end with Arya that she met in the season 1 finale is Gendry. Ned actually talked to Gendry in season 1 and found out he was Robert’s bastard son, not sure if you remembered that. Ned also met that woman and her baby that was killed too. She was telling Ned about what Jon Arryn asked when he also came to see her and the baby.

It’s a small island off the coast of Kings Landing. They were just killing Robert’s bastards, not all bastards. I think you’re doing just fine in figuring out what’s happening with the information that you have. We don’t want to give you too much information because when the show subverts your expectations, we want to see the same shock on your face that we felt 😝
