I heard the slaughtered babies were wrapped in lannister cloaks and put before King Robert which Ned witnessed, hence his mercy to Cersei. I always didn't get Rhaegar raping Lyanna, there's no need to be romantic, make declarations to someone you just wanted to rape. No need to kidnap her either since hes the dragon and heir to the throne. Plus good trustworthy men who actually knew Rhaegar, only spoke good things about him. Lyanna died due to childbirth, no surgeons back then to stop bleeding. Same way Dany's mother died. Jon is like Rhaegar in many ways, including being skilled fighters but not enjoying killing and what they great at.
