I think youre imposing some very specifically defined words for actions that do not line up regarding dany, @the chosen one. Dany imposing no slavery laws and laws that are against the killing of innocents is not imposing culture/what youre alluding to - colonization. Colonization would me she requires the people to speak a certain language, to live a certain way that isnt natural to those people (slavery is not natural), and to subjugate entire classes of people into oppression for refusing so. Besides, Dany is valeyrian, and it is actually valeryian culture to enslave people. The reason why the harpy eveb exist is because in the history and Lore's, they were the people of old ghis that survived the valeryian slavers. The harpy have deeper reason to hate dany than just for her laws. Shes a descendent of the people that once enslaved them. Yet, this time, she's the one freeing them. The harpy are NOT the majority of the population, the slaves are. Which is the reason why the city fell to her in the first place. Majority of the people were slaves and they chose dany because she freed them. They NEEDED AND WANTED her help. The Monarchy's in GOT didnt have constitutions? And dany has a diverse small council at various points guiding her. She never uses her power endlessly - the woman has dragons for good sake.. Wed see if she fell into her true limitless power. She hasn't and refuses to. Quite literally the opposite if tyrannical. Furthermore, Dany isnt just ruling mereen. Her politics aren't that simple. Shes dismantling the structure and system of slavery itself. Her decisions and mistakes are going to have higher stakes. Personally, her situation is more black and white, which is why we see her making the most black and white decisions. No matter how you dice it, slavery is bad, and anyone arguing in that favour... Idk what to tell you.. So naturally, dany will always have unrest from slave sympathizers unless she actually kills them all. Its part of the territory, and shes handling it just as well as she can imo. Especially since shes a young woman who was an abused orphan and was/is learning the world and politics as it comes.

The harpy is probably the majority of the population. No one wanted saving yet she thinks they need it. She's also being completely tyrannical about the decisions. She didn't institute a constitution to limit her power, she isn't giving the people a Meereen a say in any of the decisions. Could easily just hold a vote to cancel the fighting pits or keep them, or she could've just put a Mereen citizen in charge and have her over see him so it doesn't look like she's completely taking over. So far she has been a horrible ruler and has done nothing to help merren, that's why there's so many people against her. They either want her removed from power or at least point just killed. She should just leave merreen she has no right there even if she thinks they need her help.
