In the beginning of the series 1882, 17yrs aftr Juneteenth, one of Shaka's descendants had been overthrown by another Zulu tribe. They were all fighting each other. He wanted them to be back as one and asked for the Queen's alliance help to do. She said 50 years after Shaka's death his spirit lives stronger than ever so we can't allow y'all to be united. This ep, flashback 1822, he had been ruling for 6 of his 12yrs, was the catalyst for Shaka's downfall. Everybody warned hm whn the white swallows came not to accept their magic bc he was of the heavens and they didn't need their magic. He insisted that once he show them his power and instilled fear in them that they wouldn't buck and would give their magic freely. They tricked Shaka into givin them Nepal, which is where the problm area was whn the flashback started. They were getn too close to the Cape. They told King George that Nepal was in danger of bn invaded by Zulus. He hired the captain, then Governor of Capetown, where Mandela is frm, he hired the Dr & the rest. The captains wife had told him that vanity was every man's weakness and they used it to get in Shaka's graces by making him think they had given him the fountain of youth using castor oil dye. So he signed a decree giving them Napal. They were trying to leave to sneak & prepare the attack but Shaka called them back.
