The Progenitors are mostly all thats relevant here but there is another alien race callled the Iconians that were one of the original species the Progenitors created and some suspect some remnants of the Iconians will appear this season because they are a big proponent in Star Trek Online(though the game is made by a different company then paramount so different writers but theyve had some ships of theres appear in the recent shows)

They base everything off of calculations. They attacked because the offer was to low and they wouldnt have been able to leave with there items if they said they didnt accept the price cause thats how black market works Personally like Rayner though im always a fan of the military types lol
