2024-12-02 14:06:51 +0000 UTCThe giant spider was Aragog, who during Chamber of Secrets gave Harry and Ron the last piece of information to put the puzzle together being that: Hagrid didn’t open the Chamber 50 years ago, he was framed by Tom Riddle (Student Voldemort) because he was keeping a younger Aragog as a pet and “fit the profile.” Before Hagrid was taken to the ministry to be expelled, he released the spider into the wild where he lived and procreated until he died of natural causes in the year of this movie. Draco got the poison for the mead in another way.
