Added 2016-09-23 06:42:35 +0000 UTCStarting on the first of October, this patreon will switch to pay up front. Now this does not affect anyone who is currently pledging, you do not have to worry about transactions changing for you as they will always occur at the beginning of the month.
This means however that anyone who pledges to us for the first time will b charged the day they pledge. So if someone joins October 5th, theya re charged their first amount on the 5th and then the next on November 1st with everyone else.
This will prevent anyone from pledging and then suddenly removing it before the end of the month as well as prevent scambots from pledging. Just letting everyone know, you will be unaffected.
However, the only case you will be affected is if you increase your pledge. After the switch is made if you increase your pledge...
If a pledge is increased, for example on the 6th of October from ten dollars to twenty. Patreon will ask you pay the difference of ten dollars on the sixth, and then on the first of November you will pay twenty dollars and then so on each first.
