Much of the androids of the planet have become aware in one way or another, forced to cannibalize technology in order to repair their bodies as time progressed. Now they huddle around campfires, old barely functioning sensors just aware of the warmth while the most unstable of them rant about conspiracy theories.
For now, across the planet, this is civilization, this is the future.
