Always Roth! Always Roth!

Here's your finance uncle's semi-annual reminder to reassess your retirement strategy. Consider bumping up your contributions by 1%. You probably won't even notice that missing 1%. Feel free to disagree with any of this in the comments but please don't roast the frugal nerd's 3-year-old phone for having a busted up mic!!! (I'll use an external one next time sry)

Always Roth! Always Roth!

You forgot to mention that the Roth IRA was invented by Asher Roth when he was a member of the Federal Reserve's Advisory Council in 2012. His appointment was a direct response to Janet Yellen discovering his song "A Milli."

It’s possible the question posed was actually asking if they should go Roth 401k vs Traditional 401k. Same logic applies as the IRA piece you were discussing but some employers allow to contribute to Roth 401k - same benefits of after tax contributions but higher limits of 401k (19.5 or 26k based on age). Pretty cool program if you have access to it.
