This is my first patreon post from a mobile device. I am in Mexico right now so please excuse any poor grammar, bad spelling, or incorrect punctuation.
The purple sweet potato vine is purely decorative, but I did show some B roll of a garnet yam being unearthed. Sweet potatoes take a ton of time and a lot of space to grow, but I really like having them in the garden all summer, just because of how heat tolerant the greens are. Lettuces and kale and most leafy greens can’t stand any heat, but sweet potato leaves take full 120 degree sun like it’s nothing. That, plus their vining nature, makes them really enjoyable to me.
The landscape fabric was the strongest one that Lowe’s sells, and it was absolutely NO match for the bermudagrass. You really need the commercial grade stuff to hold back this unstoppable weed. I would love to cover the whole yard in cardboard and wood chips, but this yard does not have any entryway wider than three feet. Since no heavy machinery can make it back there, I’d be hand-pitchforking chips til the damn cows came home
Brightland tastes bitter as hell to me. Obviously I’m not their target audience since I’d never pay that much for internet branded olive oil, but Bree and I both came to the same conclusion after a blind taste test of Brightland and cheaper organic California olive oils from the grocery store. Damn, I still love this blind taste tests kick we are on
I planted some more peas and immediately saw signs of some more small animal trying to nibble at them. Unfortunately it appears as though our house is simply in a neighborhood/city where you can never truly fully rid your yard of rats from afar.
I just lost my wedding ring and pit viper sunglasses in the sea to a big wave. I posted that fact to Instagram yesterday and everyone was sympathetic about the ring, but that things was $8 of silicone so the loss of my pitties is actually much much sadder.

Nice! That’s why I didn’t cancel the ad— It’s a matter of taste

Don't know about Brightland but I actually like the bitter, tangy, sharp kick to the face olive oils. The mellow ones are not only overpriced for olive oil but they have the taste profile of rapeseed. So you get bummed twice for the same bottle.
