Shining had been looking around frantically for the key to his cage, wherever Cadance had 'misplaced' it, it wasn't anywhere to be found. Then again, it's a big castle. Having eyed the new maid all night Twilight finally stepped up and made a proposal, after all, the castle is practically glistering already. So why not relax and have fun with the girls? At this point it was either this, or pretend to go home for the night, and there was no way he'd want the general public to see him like this either.
