To be clear mj started buying a lot of rights from different artist in the 80's when he got superuberdupermega rich. He was a smart business man so in the end of his days he owned a lot of rights from many different artist including some of Ems songs which he and his company bought through an auction in 2007. The rights that they won in that specific auction included rights from Shakira, Bjork, Beck, Em and more. He was for sure a smart business man and also a music enthusiast, he didnt specifically went out to buy Ems music due to a video he had released three years prior lol, Ems songs just happened to be in that package that he won in that specific auction.
