Given away to a boys home by his mom in the system at age 7 I believe being locked in solitary confinement. His love for dogs etc. excellent starting point. Also check out his autobiography Earl. I read it while I was incarcerated and I changed my life and made my time easier to deal with. Check out drink champs interviews also . Rip Earl Simmons, DMX , Dark man X .
