i dont think you’ve noticed these things but they add quite a lot to the ending in my opinion: 1. when light runs, he runs past the version of himself from episode 1 so basically his innocent self 2. misa at the end is on her way to kill herself after lights dead 3. when light dies the last thing he sees is Ls ghost 4. he dies in the middle of the staircase symbolising how theres nothing after his dead (not hell and not heaven) just like what ryuk had told him
