November update
Added 2024-11-01 15:51:55 +0000 UTCHi all, it's the 1st of November and I figured I'd provide a small update on the state of the Patreon, my plans for the month and just an overall word of thanks to you all for supporting my writing. Now, let me get right to it:
A Viper in the Hole...
has reached 451 watchers, spread over SB, SV and RR. Of course there's likely some duplicates in there across sites, but that still feels like an amazing number of regular watchers to have, considering how relatively young Viper still is and how early in the narrative it still is.
won last month's Contributor poll on a coin flip, with "Follies of the slighted" being available here on Patreon, for your reading pleasure. My current plan is for it to be uploaded as an additional upload on a non-regular upload day following Ran's Gym battle against Bugsy.
has been progressing well, with some valid feedback from you lot seeing a few changes made in the early access chapters, for the benefit of the story. I've also been taking these notes into account in my writing, though as I'm quite a way ahead of what I've made available in Early Access (on account of always wanting enough of a backlog to meet my promises towards you guys), it'll likely be a while yet before such things start becoming visible for you guys.
A Leaf of the Tree...
has seen Takeo officially named the future Hokage through a few epilogue updates.
has received a massive AU omake I'd long ago promised and which only lost September's Contributor poll prompt on a coin flip. That being the Takeo x Sugishi AU Omake. I think it turned out rather well.
has tragically fallen out of the top-30 most liked quests on fiction.live and is once again in 31st place.
Forth Éorlingas...
has gained a regular live schedule, with me currently going live once a week on Wednesdays around 7 p.m. CET.
has exited the prologue, leaving me optimistic that it'll pick up the pace a bit in the following lives.
Patreon rewards
Early Access is on schedule and will remain to function as normal.
Contributors will be getting their monthly omake poll (planned to launch on the 4th of November and run through to the 10th), though I don't quite know what 5 options to offer this month (barring last month's runner-up "A drink to death" which will of course be available again. This is a request to all of you: Please put suggestions for suitable omakes and AUs of my words of roughly 4 to 5k words in the comments to this post. If you see a suggestion you like by someone else, be sure to like it so that I can consider popularity when selecting which options make the list. I'm ideally looking for a bit of a mix between my stories in the suggestions, so please try and keep that in mind!
Is there anything you guys feel that is missing from the current benefits I offer on Patreon? Please be realistic as writing is by no means a full-time job for me, but if you can think of something that I can do to offer you a better deal, or which you believe might lead to me receiving more support, I'd greatly appreciate the feedback.
If I've forgotten to mention anything, give me a shout in the comments, yeah?
Finally, a massive thank you to each and every one of you. I initially started my Patreon with the idea of it justifying me spending more time on writing compared to other endeavors and it's been succeeding wonderfully in that regard. If the Patreon can keep anything even close to the growth it's had so far, it will have proven a success beyond my wildest dreams, at which point any thoughts of having to shelve writing in favor of pursuing other revenue streams can themselves be shelved. I really can't thank all of you enough, I am immensely grateful to each and every one of you.

For viper, seeing Tommy's experience becoming a gym trainer could be cool? It'd be interesting to see a third party's take on the whole, Bugsy/Ran thing without all the baggage and I just think it sounds like a lot's going on there at the gym.

2024-11-02 12:25:50 +0000 UTCFor Omake ideas, seeing something from the pov of Folthain's family might be nice? Be a good way to make us care about them beyond the abstract. Or show his dad's perspective of that raid where he died, make his heroic sacrifice hit home a little harder.
