An explanation for those big chunks of missing tickets for SummerSlam
Added 2021-08-21 18:02:40 +0000 UTCAs you could probably predict, those big chunks of tickets falling off in a few sections last night for SummerSlam were likely comps being distributed electronically. A reader reached out and confirmed they were set up with tickets and had them emailed early this morning from Ticketmaster.
It's my first instinct to assume this (no other good explanation really, unless of course they eventually come back on the map) but it's nice to know for sure. I do not track comps though - it would be impossible to know that information without being told it from the inside and I doubt either promotion has plans to share that information with me (and I can't blame them) which is why I always use the term "Tickets Distributed."

If they were comped to Hotels, I could not imagine them being given from WWE to hotels for free. Maybe discounted?
