AEW returns to Miami, FL for Rampage/Dynamite

In a little bit of a surprise, AEW is returning to the James L Knight Center, the site of their first show back on the road, "Road Rager." They will be doing a back-to-back combo with Rampage on Friday and a special Saturday Night Dynamite (the Wednesday show is being moved due to an NHL game on TNT much like the Orlando show announcement). This was one of the lowest drawing shows (3,700+) since returning to the road but a few circumstances might have contributed to that - the show initially had covid restrictions in place so after selling out the initial 1,200 tickets a bunch more opened up later on but didn't sell at the same rate. Usually your biggest selling days are the presale and general public onsale. Also, Miami seems to be a tough market for wrestling as even an upcoming WWE show isn't doing the best in a bigger arena (but is picking up some steam of late).

One obvious difference this time around for AEW is the addition of CM Punk and potentially other big names too.

It's interesting to me they are coming back to Florida with shows in Orlando and Miami. Perhaps Chris Jericho's cruise has something to do with it - keeping talent in the area.
