In-depth look at All Out attendance figure

I expect the attendance number AEW announces on Sunday for All Out will likely be the 10,500 figure given in years past for All Out at the NOW Arena (formerly known as the Sears Center) but I'll present what I believe to be a closer estimate. Dave Meltzer has reported that number in the past as well. 

I reported during the initial pre-sale that only 9,496 seats exist on the ticket map which prompted a lot of replies of "but what about the 10,500 number?" The ticket map doesn't include suite numbers. The difference between this and the Rampage show at the United Center where my number was lower than AEW's reported figure is I now have suite numbers for All Out. It's been known that suites for this show sold out a while back - I just needed to get a figure for how many people those suites hold and thankfully that wasn't too hard to find.

The total number, not counting suites 1 or 43 is 975. If you add that number to the total ticket count (9,496)  you get 10,471. And if you like to round up, you get your 10,500 number. But that total ticket count (just like any total ticket count on a map) includes production seats that will not be used so that figure is going to come down.

Let's look at what Stubhub has available to answer some questions about the hard camera section and other sections behind the stage:

You can see that no seats are for sale in the noted sections on Stubhub. C103 will be the hard camera section but is a fairly big section and production seats almost always come available the week of the show so I do expect of the currently 304 unopened seats, some of them will be opened up. I haven't seen seats open up in 119 or C100 and those are just behind the stage set up. I have seen seats in 219 and 200 open up and most rows are available on Stubhub so those count toward the total (and I assume the difference is they are higher so even though they might be limited viewing, you can still see the action as opposed to 119/C100). There are likely other seats used for production that are being counted in their favor - but this same rule applies for every promotion.

The final count won't be ready until we see how many seats are opened up in C103.

But as of now..

572 unopened seats.

8,874 opened seats + 975 people in suites = 9,849. It's fair to estimate with production seats potentially opening up they'll be right at the big round number of 10,000.
