Dave Meltzer had some interesting notes about this show on last night's Observer Radio. He'll have more in his newsletter about it this week but in short, scalpers bought nearly 40% of tickets for this show, spending about $300,000+. So far, they've made about $800,000 and with not a lot of tickets left to sell on the secondary market and when all is said and done, they'll make about $900,000 in total which means a profit of $600,000. The newest sections on the bottom left of this image were priced at $29 by AEW and now the pink dots (resell) have them listed anywhere from $73-$79. Dave speculated that the scalpers may end up making more money from this show than AEW will in the end. AEW/Ticketmaster also have their share of "Official Platinum" tickets which are egregiously priced but not at the level the scalpers bought this one up at. This is why WWE prices some of their big shows very high, especially on the floor. For years brokers were making a killing off their shows as well.

Scalping shouldn’t be allowed to the markup that it is so typically part of. It is a principle that rewards shitty behaviour from rich people with either bots of the patience to buy a ticket with the sole intention of making a profit. I despise it.
