Seeing wrestling live is a very different experience than watching it on TV, and it's a fun night out with the kids and/or friends. There's also, you know, the actual wrestling matches to consider? Sure you might not be getting storyline progression, but you're also freeing these workers from the strict television time restrictions and allowing them to build longer matches that feed off the crowd reactions more. Pro wrestling was designed as a live medium much like standup comedy and Broadway. You can successfully translate those things to TV, but there's always the subtle details that get lost in translation.
