This is a good number - even with an on-paper decrease. Saint Louis is historically a hot wrestling city, but there's strong loyalty for WWE in the post NWA-era. WCW/Impact never drew well here, but lots of opportunity for walk ups. AEW will do well here long term with strong indie scene in the region.

2022-06-12 17:08:56 +0000 UTCI don’t know how much it matters, as a ticket bought is a ticket bought, but I would imagine that one big reason they drew so big last time is that many people bought tickets expecting to travel for Full Gear last year for a live Rampage in STL. Not excusing a low number, as STL is usually a good wrestling market, but I can’t help but wonder if that 5k+ number from November was not reflective of what AEW can draw there under normal circumstances.
