They actually took away several sections wrapping around the arena that were previously opened (roughly 920 seats were removed at 4:20PM). I removed those from the count completely but they'll be back when they sell more of these camera visible seats (feel free to add the 276 seats sold in those sections to the total here). This is likely the biggest story of the day in terms of on-sales because the last time they were here, they did over 4,000 by the end of the first day of the general public on-sale and this was barely half of that. Prices were higher this time around.

I agree with the idea that AEW overall should be cheaper but when you make as much cash as WWE does annually just off of TV rights, you can easily take a hit on some gates per year or to run more aggressive promos. Live attendance gates are far more important to AEW and matter a lot.

2022-09-17 12:25:38 +0000 UTCThe price raises here, when there in somewhat of a sales slump and hitting the same markets repeatedly feels like a misdirection. Not sure why they would want WWE pricing to appear more fan friendly?

2022-09-17 07:19:49 +0000 UTCAmen to that, tickets jumped for us from $90 to $125, quite the hike. I’m also not implying that’s the case but AEW original core fans are the ones traveling to shows and buying the PPVs. Wonder if that number of traveling fans are dwindling.
