Trip update + future plans
Added 2025-11-20 16:37:41 +0000 UTCRight from the jump, Africa has been a disaster- I landed in Tanzania during historic protests, no Internet for five days (the government shut it off), petrol shortages, and I got pneumonia. This is already one of the toughest journeys I’ve faced. I’ll be heading to 6 countries on this trip, tracing ancient human migration patterns in and out of Africa.
This is a trip I’ve been planning for about a year, and on the first day, Africa said “fuck your plan.” It’s going to be a pretty brutal journey, but I’m weirdly excited for it. I’m looking for a new challenge, and I think Africa is the place for it.

Tanzania SUCKED compared to Uganda. Tz felt very scammy, everybody wants a god damn tip, generally unfriendly people, etc. Uganda was the complete opposite in my opinion. Way prettier and the people are funny and outgoing. I hope you make it there
